We are looking for a detail-focused and proactive Receipt Inspector to join our Receipt Inspection team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality, compliance, and integrity of materials entering the business, supporting both operational performance and customer expectations.
Working within a fast-paced and multi-disciplined environment, you will inspect complex components and documentation, support delivery targets, and contribute to continuous improvement activities aligned to FLIGHTDECK principles. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
You will play an important role in maintaining high quality standards while helping to drive a culture of accountability, process discipline, and right-first-time execution.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Inspect incoming materials and complex components from vendors, internal sources, and non-OEM customers to ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Review and approve Certificates of Conformance (CofC) and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance prior to release.
- Identify and document non-conformances through Material Discrepancy Reports (MDRs), supporting timely resolution and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and material visibility within ERP and business systems.
- Support operational delivery targets through timely, accurate, and efficient inspection activity.
- Work closely with Quality, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to maintain material flow and resolve issues proactively.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting standard work, process discipline, and problem-solving activities in line with FLIGHTDECK principles.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company quality standards, compliance requirements, and health & safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent engineering background.
- Experience within an inspection, quality, or manufacturing environment, ideally within aerospace, defence, or other regulated industries.
- Strong ability to assess materials and supporting documentation against technical and quality requirements.
- Confident decision-making skills with the ability to clearly separate facts and make informed judgements.
- Experience using ERP systems within a manufacturing environment; SAP knowledge would be advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
