The Senior Manager, Digital Operations, will lead Digital Technology (DT) operations at the GE Caledonia MRO facility. Serving as the DT Site Leader, the role provides strategic digital leadership to the site leadership team and the broader DT organization, covering all IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software applications required for site operations. The leader is accountable for performance and availability of IT infrastructure and applications, partnering closely with business stakeholders to enable process transformation, and overseeing site-related projects in coordination with the broader DT organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of employees across the digital operations space, including infrastructure, end user support, network, and related services.
- Design, develop, implement, and support technology solutions for geographically distributed infrastructure systems; manage tactical Digital Technology plans to ensure scalability and maintain system integrity by applying security best practices.
- Manage global IT assets, including software licenses and full lifecycle management of hardware (procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning).
- Develop and manage adherence to departmental Change Management processes and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring consistent, high‑quality service delivery.
- Define, develop, maintain, and test Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all operational processes to drive standardization, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in the budgeting process and manage IT infrastructure–related projects and investments, ensuring alignment with business priorities and financial targets.
- Identify and respond to professional growth needs for all team members, ensuring they receive the training, coaching, and tools required to successfully execute team deliverables.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and innovative work culture grounded in respect, high integrity, and continuous improvement, capable of driving sustained positive change across all levels.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM discipline with significant relevant experience.
Technical Expertise
- Hands‑on experience in 24x7x365 technical operations.
- Experience with design, performance, availability, and scalability of infrastructure solutions.
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles; Green Belt certification preferred.
Business Acumen
- Knowledge of business and financial principles and practices.
- Proven ability to manage operations within budget (team and/or product).
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects based on business strategies and customer requirements.
- Strong customer focus; effectively manages technical issues in complex, stressful situations; builds strong relationships and designs processes from the customer’s viewpoint.
- Skilled in structured problem solving: able to break down problems, document clear problem statements, and estimate effort and impact.
