Job Description Summary

The On Wing Support Site FLIGHT DECK Leader will be responsible for transforming results through the application of FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s lean operating model. Partnering with site teams, the On Wing Support Global Leadership team, and other stakeholders, the individual will ensure full implementation of FLIGHT DECK across the site’s operations. The role involves leading changes in approach and mindset to ensure Lean principles are effectively applied to support strategic and operational business plans. The primary responsibilities include developing lean proficiency among the site team to improve operating processes and standard work, and collaborating with external stakeholders to drive impact.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead, facilitate, educate, advocate, consult, and act as needed with the OWS Site team to drive understanding and application of FLIGHT DECK.
  2. Collaborate with FLIGHT DECK Leader peers across OWS and GE Aerospace to share learning, identify opportunities, and promote lean culture and FLIGHT DECK activation.
  3. Develop and manage a multi-year Site FLIGHT DECK Transformation Roadmap, contributing to global efforts.
  4. Facilitate and coach KPI-based performance management to help achieve operational goals.
  5. Champion kaizen initiatives and facilitate kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
  6. Coach, mentor, and develop organizational competencies in KPIs, action plans, and problem solving.
  7. Ensure consistent and impactful application of FLIGHT DECK principles.
  8. Support and scale model cell implementations through transformation plans that deliver breakthrough results.
  9. Collaborate with ATMRO FLIGHT DECK operations team to deploy best practices across the network.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of the FLIGHT DECK operating system.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience applying lean operating systems, including Daily Management, KPI Performance Management, Problem Solving, and Continuous Improvement in an industrial setting.
  • Flexibility to collaborate globally, accommodating communication across 14 time zones, with international travel expected up to 4 weeks per year.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in operations management and/or lean practices within aircraft engine maintenance or similar industrial sectors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead kaizen events.
  • Highly collaborative, comfortable with conflict and change management.
  • Effective communicator at all organizational levels.
