As a release Inspector within the aerospace industry, you will be responsible for carrying out the final inspection of R&O equipment ensuring parts adhere to the specification laid out within the CMM, generating and signing the approved release certificates ensuring all customer, contract and regulatory requirements are observed. Completing layout inspection on R&O products and providing support & guidance to business support functions when necessary. The role will also encourage using and implementing lean principles to help streamline the process where possible.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Final Inspection of assembled props, blades and control units to specification and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).
- Generating all the relevant paperwork to complete final release of the product to the customer.
- Ensuring traceability and compliance is maintained throughout the process.
- Supporting engineering/quality investigations and project work as and when required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- The candidate will need to have the ability and experience of working on mechanical and hydraulic components.
- They will need to demonstrate that they are able to utilise detailed manuals, drawings & other documentation to aid this requirement.
- Minimum of HNC Mechanical engineering or time served apprentice or similar level of the knowledge and experience.
- Must be PC literate and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working within an aerospace engineering environment.
