GE Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Apprentice, 2026

Join GE Aerospace as a Manufacturing Engineering Apprentice (MEA) and start a 4‑year rotational apprenticeship in Cheltenham. You will study a combined Electrical and Mechanical HNC/HND while learning Lean principles, problem‑solving, equipment integration and supply‑chain operations.

Role Profile

As an MEA, you will work across multiple manufacturing engineering departments, gaining hands‑on experience and academic study via a GET‑supported HNC/HND programme. Rotations will cover product and customer knowledge and, in later years, allow you to specialise.

Learning & Development

  • Year 1 – 5 HNC modules, rotations, workplace learning
  • Year 2 – 3 HNC modules + 3 HND modules
  • Year 3 – 5 HND modules (completion of HND)
  • Year 4 – Further industry‑relevant modules, final portfolio

Key modules include project management, quality improvement, sustainability, Lean manufacturing and electrical‑digital mechanical principles.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Essential: GCSE Maths and English grade C/4 or above; Level 2 qualification equivalent; 3x A‑Levels (or equivalent) including Maths or Engineering, grade C or above; Level 3 qualification (BTEC, T‑Level, etc.) in Engineering/Manufacturing.
  • Desired: STEM subject at Level 3; motivated team player; interest in technology and process improvement; innovative problem solver.
