As a customer quality leader, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, driving quality initiatives and resolving customer concerns. This role involves acting as the primary point of contact for customers regarding quality issues, resolving quality concerns, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, all whilst ensuring compliance to industry standards and customer requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Implement and drive both tactical and strategic quality improvement initiatives to support customer disruption reduction targets, instigate overarching quality enhancement projects.
  • Facilitate practical problem solving across the organisation to resolve quality issues for GE value streams and customers, utilising problem-solving tools to resolve complex manufacturing and delivered quality problems.
  • Lead and host all customer quality visits ranging from regular working level customer representative visits to high-profile senior executive visits.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including quality plans and corrective action reports.
  • Lead audits and assessments conducted by customers, support regulatory bodies audits.
  • Experience of contract review; to question quality clauses, reinforced by supply chain capability knowledge.
  • Familiarity with APQP methodologies and how aerospace is applying the framework.
  • Able to build an external industry network to learn and share best practice & experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience in a quality role, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of quality management systems (QMS) & AS standards for example AS9100, AS9102, AS9145.

  • Ability to document, plan and execute several projects simultaneously and manage deadlines.
  • Able to intelligently explain complex information in a straightforward manner.
  • Experience in Programmes or Project Management, with an instinctive understanding of customer needs.
  • Willing to travel to GE & customer sites as required.
