As a Material Planner, you will play a key role in keeping materials moving accurately and efficiently to support manufacturing cells, engineering teams, and external customers. You will help ensure the right materials are available at the right time, with a strong focus on material flow, storage, inventory accuracy, quality, and kitting to meet high operational standards. This role is especially important in preparing for program ramp-ups and integration activities, where readiness and organisation are critical. Working as part of the Materials Organisation, you will support execution of the production plan by helping manage work order launches and maintaining effective material presentation and control throughout the process.

Role Summary / Purpose

  • Review daily material requirements against production needs
  • Monitor part shortages and escalate issues that may affect production or delivery
  • Track the status of materials, components, and supplier deliveries
  • Support material movement and coordination between stores, warehouse, production, and other functions
  • Update planning, inventory, and material status information in business systems
  • Help ensure parts are available to support work orders and production schedules
  • Work with internal teams to resolve routine material issues
  • Support inventory accuracy through timely system updates and transaction discipline
  • Assist with expediting urgent parts or components when required
  • Identify and report risks relating to missing, late, or incorrect materials
  • Participate in daily operating rhythms and team discussions on shortages, priorities, and recovery actions
  • Follow standard work, safety requirements, and site procedures at all times

Required Experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, stores, or material coordination environment
  • Experience working with parts, inventory, material transactions, or production support processes
  • Good working knowledge of using business systems or digital tools to track materials and update records
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
