In the 12-month Human Resources (HR) Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of HR including recruitment, employee relations and engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • You could be working alongside our HR teams, supporting with performance reviews, absence management, disciplinary and grievance meetings, helping to implement HR policies and procedures and working on various simplification projects.
  • Caledonian - This role strengthens delivery across core HR activities by supporting the talent agenda, employee engagement, employee relations, performance reviews, absence management, and the coordination of disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Cheltenham - support a range of HR initiatives across Learning and Development, Recruitment, Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations, and Total Rewards.
  • Dowty - you will support a wide range of HR initiatives across learning and development, recruitment, the employee lifecycle, employee relations and total rewards.

You will be guided by structured goals and objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects supported by your People Leader and team around you. We will guide you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE Aerospace experience. Your People Leader will offer coaching and mentoring, and you will be provided with the opportunity to connect with other placement students across the UK.

This opportunity is offered in our Caledonian (Prestwick, Scotland), Cheltenham, and Gloucester (Dowty, a GE Aerospace company) sites, during the process we will ask you to share your location and role preferences.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Currently studying a Human Resources, Business or Psychology related Bachelor's or an integrated Master’s degree
  • On course to achieve a 2:1 degree or above
  • To be in your penultimate year of study and returning to education post placement

Recruitment Process

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
