Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain current-to-target roadmaps for on-prem OS/hardware refresh, cloud service versions, container platforms, and base images.
  • Build decision frameworks and blueprints that align business goals, risk, security, capacity, and cost.
  • Evaluate on-prem vs. cloud options and recommend migration/refactor paths where appropriate.
  • Establish and lead governance for standards, exceptions, and EOL/EOS risk across on-prem and cloud.
  • Define and maintain standard service catalogs: approved OS builds, hardware platforms, golden AMIs/OCI images, approved cloud services, Kubernetes base versions, and managed database engine versions.
  • Align with security on baseline configurations, patching cadence, CIS/STIG compliance, tagging, and identity standards.
  • Monitor vendor/provider notices for EOL, deprecations, and security advisories.
  • Publish clear dashboards and reports on lifecycle posture, EOL exposure, upgrade progress, exceptions, and cost impact.
  • Facilitate cross-functional forums and decision-making; expedite blockers early with options and recommendations.
  • Maintain decision logs, governance packets, and playbooks.

Education & Experience

  • For roles outside the USA: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with advanced experience.
  • For roles in the USA: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors with minimum years of experience (4 years preferred).

  • Familiar with elements of gathering data for future architecture requirements.

  • Familiar with concepts of costing hardware and software components.
  • Delivers tasks on time with alignment to architectural blueprints and technical roadmaps; can identify and raise issues, risks, and benefits.
  • Participates in change initiatives by implementing new directions and providing appropriate information and feedback.

  • Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning, implementation, steady state, de-commissioning); ability to provision and budget via capital and operating.
  • Able to lead early-stage customer interactions; guide customers as they develop confidence and comfort with approaches and integrate with their legacy tech investments.
  • Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding people’s roles, can foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, and rally teammates.
  • Understand how internal and/or external business models work and facilitate active customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including third-party partners and customer personnel.
  • Demonstrated change-management / acceleration capabilities.

Pay and Benefits

The base pay range for this position is Min $95,000 Max $159,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 13th July 2026.
