We are seeking an operation support role to perform a variety of tasks related to the upkeep, repair and improvement of the facility and grounds. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with a wide range of building maintenance and repair work.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out a variety of planned and reactive building maintenance tasks which will be varied in nature and may include general building joinery, painting, paving and external work.
- Undertake general facilities support tasks including furniture building and furniture removals, grounds and site clearance and keeping areas clean and tidy.
- Respond promptly to maintenance upkeep/improvement requests.
- Assist with installation and relocation of furniture fixtures and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas and mechanical rooms.
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Assist with landscaping and grounds keeping as required.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various environments.
- Proven experience in general maintenance or related field.
- Effective communication skills.
- Good team player with flexible approach and effective interpersonal skills.
- A responsible/self‑motivated person willing to make decisions.
- Computer literacy skills with experience of Windows‑based packages.
- Carpentry skills/qualifications highly desirable.
- Building fabrication and repair experience desirable.
- Previous experience in aircraft engine industry.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or equivalent techniques.
- Experience in large‑scale production environment.
- Follow strict EHS guidelines in all aspects of shop‑floor safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure effective processes are used in a timely manner which supports their operations.
- Willingness to operate collaboratively with all departments in a shop‑floor teaming environment.
