Aftermarket Master Scheduler

Full-Time No working from home possible
Ge Aerospace

Job Description Summary

The Aftermarket Master Scheduler plays a key role in balancing supply and demand through a realistic and achievable Master Production Schedule (MPS). Working across supply chain, programs, sourcing, and planning, this role helps create the operating rhythm that supports strong execution and delivery performance. Based in Cheltenham, this is an exciting opportunity to strengthen the Aftermarket value stream during a period of growth, new initiatives, and leadership transition. The role will help take the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to the next level by partnering with stakeholders to support Value Stream Analysis (VSA) activities and identify improvement opportunities for 2026 and 2027. The successful candidate will build close working relationships with supply chain and program teams to improve material forecasting from both customers and suppliers. The role also supports the spares and buy parts planning team by reviewing demand and helping develop practical planning solutions. Overall, the Aftermarket Master Scheduler will help improve inventory balance, support revenue opportunities, and drive stronger on-time delivery (OTD) performance across the value stream.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Establish the required operating rhythms and the cross-functional relationships to ensure the planning/Aftermarket partnership is successful.
  • Leverage FLIGHTDECK (GE's Lean operating model) tools where applicable and the problem-solving continuum (Daily Management, At Point Problem Solving (APPS), Problem Solving Reports (PSRs), and Kaizen events) to drive containment and corrective actions to incrementally improve current processes and performance.
  • Analyse the demand and supply balances at the part, product family, and master schedule levels, determining out-of-balance conditions, identifying and proposing alternative solutions, and supporting execution of actions to resolve.
  • Cross-functionally work with Programs, Engineering, Operations, and Sourcing to optimise supply schedules considering capacity and lead times – linking this into the Aftermarket S&OP cycle.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) at each step in the planning process to increase efficiency, decision-making, and data analysis consistency.
  • Maintain Item Master attributes and their impact on supply. Pivot from current system setup where appropriate to optimise delivery and inventory.
  • Together with the wider Planning Organisation, be responsible for a portion of the “2026 House of Strategy” focused on improving current processes for the benefit of employees, the Planning team, and the Cheltenham site.
