For September 2026, we are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified school counsellor to join our outstanding pastoral team at Sheffield Girls', as maternity cover for the current postholder who has established a highly valued service. Encouraging our pupils to talk about their thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment is important to us. Our Heads of Year support our students to deal with a range of issues they may encounter and, as our School Counsellor, you would provide a complementary service, helping those who would benefit from additional support.
You will be motivated, empathic and have the skills to work with a great deal of autonomy. You will join a supportive and collaborative team in a rewarding role, enabling our pupils to fulfil their personal and academic potential. The role is offered on a part time basis, working term time only. We would like someone to join our team from September, or as soon as possible, depending on notice period. This is a part time role, with hours equating to approximately 70% of a full-time position.
