The Head of Northwood College for Girls is delighted to invite applications for the role of Director of Finance & Operations (DFO).

Northwood College for Girls (NWC) is a leading independent day school for approximately 880 girls aged 3–18.

Situated in an attractive area of North-West London, the school combines academic excellence with a strong sense of community, providing an exceptional education that enables every pupil to thrive both academically and personally.

As part of the Girls' Day School Trust, the UK's leading family of girls' schools, NWC offers the benefits of a successful and well-established school alongside the opportunities and support of a national network.

Reporting to the Head and serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the DFO is responsible for the strategic leadership of the school's finances and operations.

Working closely with colleagues across the school and the wider GDST, the successful candidate will ensure outstanding financial stewardship, operational excellence and the effective leadership of estates, facilities, IT, compliance, health and safety, commercial activity and support services, enabling the school to deliver its future ambitions.

We are seeking an experienced strategic leader with strong financial and commercial expertise, excellent judgement and the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse community.

Whether your experience has been gained in education or another complex environment, you will bring a collaborative approach, strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
