Minibus Driver for our daily service from Kenton/Fenham area

Working hours: Approximately 16 hours per week - split shift. Approx. 7.00 a.m. - 8.45 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. - 5.15 p.m. term time only (176 days per year). Ad hoc additional hours may also be available from time to time.

Newcastle High School for Girls, the North East's leading independent girls' day school, seeks to appoint a new member of our school transport team, to drive one of our fleet of school minibuses to deliver the school's daily morning and afternoon transport services from Kenton. Some additional driving duties may be required on an ad hoc basis, but the core hours are a daily split shift during term time only.

Our minibus driving team works under the direction of the School Transport Manager to drive any of the school's modern fleet of minibuses to transport pupils, staff and visitors as required. Our drivers work closely with the chaperone allocated to their daily service to provide a courteous, friendly service for our pupils and parents. Additionally, transport support for trips, sports fixtures and high-profile school events such as open days, fairs and parents' evenings may be required from time to time.

A category D or D1 (without restrictions) driving licence is preferred but not essential as this service will be run in a 9-seater minibus.
