This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly qualified, experienced and dynamic teaching team at Sydenham & Dulwich Girls. We are looking to appoint a well-qualified Teacher of PE to join our accomplished Sports department and play an instrumental role in developing the excellent reputation and provision of sport across the school.

You will teach across the Junior and Senior schools in a range of athletics, dance, fitness, gymnastics and games based activities. Our excellent facilities include a well-equipped sports hall and astroturf pitch at the Senior School and an eight-acre sports ground in Beckenham. Plans are in place to open a state of the art ergo room, gym and dance studio at the Senior school in summer 2026.

Our highly successful and popular Sports department plays a key role in the delivery of outstanding sports and co-curricular opportunities for our pupils. Alongside the teaching of GCSE and A Level PE, you will be expected to commit to the development of the most able and talented athletes through our High Performance Programme and Sports scholarships.

Most importantly, you will be an energetic and organised teacher who is prepared to make a real commitment to the Sydenham & Dulwich Girls’ sports provision. This is a 4 or 5 day role on a fixed-term maternity cover.
