The role
We are looking for an exceptional Art and Design Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status to join our teaching team at South Hampstead Junior School. As an Art and Design Teacher, you will inspire young learners through the delivery of creative and engaging lessons. Art and Design is highly valued within the school, and the department is recognised for its outstanding standards and the excellent work produced by pupils. You will contribute to the continued success of the department by delivering inspiring teaching across a wide range of artistic disciplines, including drawing, painting, textiles, felt making, silk painting, printing (lino and dry point etching), ceramics, woodwork, graphic design and pottery. This role would suit an individual who can inspire bright, motivated girls and contribute positively to a thriving and dynamic school community. You will have previous experience of teaching Art and Design in a primary or junior school setting, while encouraging pupils to develop their confidence, imagination and strong visual literacy skills.
