Kensington Prep seeks an outstanding Gap Year Assistant to support the work of our teachers and pupils as required. The post is particularly well suited to a recent school leaver considering a future career in education and looking to gain broad, hands-on experience within a leading independent preparatory school.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

The Gap Year Assistant plays a key role in supporting pupils and staff across the academic, pastoral and co‑curricular life of the school. The successful candidate will be a friendly, dependable and approachable member of the school community, making a positive contribution to pupils’ wellbeing and personal development.

  • Put the safety and wellbeing of pupils at the heart of everything they do.
  • Contribute to the Trust’s vision and strategic priorities.
  • Follow our policies on health, safety and diversity, creating a safe, fair and inclusive environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, attendance and relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
  • Take responsibility for their own development, engaging in training and performance review.
