Blackheath High School is seeking an experienced Spanish teacher who can foster a love of Spanish in students. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the Modern Languages department.

As Head of Spanish, you will ensure that students understand the importance of Spanish in the global community. You will be responsible for teaching Spanish to students aged 11 – 18 and will equip them with sound linguistic skills through challenging and differentiated lessons.

Leading by example, you will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department and inspire a team of subject specialists through your passion for the subject. You will work closely with the Head of MFL to embed the MFL department vision and development plan and contribute effectively to the MFL calendar and the organisation of trips, including regular trips to Spain.

The ability to teach Spanish across the full range of KS3, KS4 and KS5 is essential.

The school is located on the edge of the stunning Heath and within easy reach of historic Greenwich and Canary Wharf.
