Oxford High School is looking for an Art and Textiles Technician to provide support to the Art Department and the Textiles Department.

As Art and Textiles Technician, your duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all the materials and equipment are available in studio rooms as required for lessons
  • Providing technical support for practical lessons
  • Assisting with the organisation, mounting and exhibition of art & design work
  • Providing support to teaching staff at relevant extra-curricular activities
  • Maintaining stock control

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in art, craft and design activities and the world of art, craft and design. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as great organisational and administrative skills are also essential in order to contribute to the continuing success and happy atmosphere at our school. Flexibility to work across both departments is required.

The usual school day for technicians to work is Mon to Fri 8am to 4pm with occasional hours outside of this.
