Prep School Teaching Assistant Required From: September 2026
Contract Term: Fixed Term (until July 2027)
Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: GDST Regional Support Grade 2 (£26,088 pro rata ie: £8,764 pa)
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to work as a one-to-one Teaching Assistant supporting the needs of two Key Stage 2 students with Education and Health Care Plans. The TA will work under the guidance and supervision of the class teacher to support pupils in lessons and will also deliver literacy, numeracy and social skills sessions on a 1:1 and small group basis. This is a part-time position, working 15 hours per week during term time and staff training days. Hours are anticipated to be 09:00 am – 12:00 midday, Monday to Friday. The role is subject to council funding renewal and is offered on a fixed-term basis until July 2027.
An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent full and relevant qualification) is required.
