Portsmouth High School is seeking an enthusiastic and approachable teacher able to teach across the primary curriculum. The teacher will facilitate in each pupil the recognition, development and fulfilment of her academic potential. This is a full-time teaching position for maternity cover, expected to be until the summer term 2027 half term break. The successful candidate will contribute to providing an excellent education for pupils by teaching with expertise and enthusiasm, offering support to the learning of individual students and contributing to the school’s pastoral system.

Salary: GDST Teacher pay scale

Responsibilities:

  • Teach across the primary curriculum.

  • Willingness to undergo child protection checks (online searches, checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service).
