Working primarily in the Junior School, you will support the delivery of a wide range of sporting activities for pupils aged 4 to 11.

The role will involve assisting with junior swimming lessons, including supporting children in EYFS and Key Stage 1, accompanying teaching staff on sport-related fixtures, trips and activities, and contributing to Junior Games afternoons depending on your sporting specialism. For the right candidate, there may also be opportunities to lead groups independently.

In addition to lesson support, the Graduate Sport Assistant will assist with junior lunchtime sports clubs, reinforcing key teaching points and helping to create a positive and engaging sporting environment. The role also includes providing administrative support to the PE department, such as inputting assessment data and preparing or photocopying resources.

We are seeking a personable and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and organisational skills and a genuine passion for sport and education. Applicants should be keen sportspeople who play or have played football, cricket, gymnastics, hockey, netball, swimming or tennis to a high level, although applications from candidates with other sporting specialisms will also be considered. Coaching experience and the ability to offer more than one sport to a high standard is advantageous.
