The role:

  • Outstanding musician and teacher of singing, ready to work enthusiastically with children aged 7‑11, many of whom are beginners.
  • Responsible for creating your own timetable in line with school guidelines to deliver weekly 30‑minute lessons to a varying number of pupils.
  • Under self‑employment terms, term‑time only; you will set your own schedule and be accountable for meeting lesson commitments.
  • As the role develops, potential opportunities to support or lead school choirs and establish small vocal ensembles, depending on the appointee’s interests and skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience and empathy with children aged 7‑11 is essential.
  • Previous teaching experience in a school environment is desirable.
  • Ability to develop and deliver structured music lessons suitable for beginner levels.
