Salary: £17.68 per hour (pro rata holiday pay included)
Hours: Split shift, 30 hours per week – early shift 6:00‑9:00, afternoon shift 15:30‑18:30, Mondays to Fridays
The Role
Due to increased demand, Oxford High School is seeking casual Minibus Drivers to join a friendly team providing a safe, professional and courteous transport service across all 3 sites. Drivers will be responsible for driving the school minibuses, carrying out routine safety checks, and interacting with children, parents and colleagues in a warm and flexible manner.
Responsibilities
- Drive school minibuses on all 3 sites during scheduled shifts
- Perform routine safety checks on vehicles
- Maintain a positive atmosphere on the bus for children
- Show initiative and work independently and as part of a team
- Provide support for school trips and extra hours as required
Qualifications
- Full clean driving licence
- Experience driving passenger vehicles and minibuses (D1 provision required)
- Excellent time management and outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate to young people, parents and colleagues
- First‑aid and Midas training desirable, but training will be provided
- Willingness to undergo child protection screening (online checks, past employer checks, DBS)
