South Hampstead High School is seeking a hands-on, multi-skilled maintenance professional to play a key role keeping our busy school site operational, safe, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out a range of practical maintenance and repair tasks across the school, including basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating, electrical fault-finding, and general building maintenance.
  • Supporting health and safety checks, monitoring site systems, and assisting with the general upkeep of the buildings and grounds.
  • Supporting wider operational needs, such as preparing spaces for events and exams, liaising with contractors, moving equipment, and ensuring the site is secure and operational throughout the school day.

Qualifications:

  • Previous building maintenance or trade experience is essential, ideally gained within a school, education, or a similarly busy environment.
  • Practical maintenance or trade skills with strong problem-solving ability and pride in delivering high standards of work.
