The Role
We are looking for a confident and customer‑focused ICT professional who enjoys solving problems and helping people get the most from technology.
As an ICT First‑line Technician at Wimbledon High School, you will play a vital role in keeping the school’s technology running smoothly, providing responsive support to staff and students, and ensuring issues are resolved quickly, clearly and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Manage helpdesk tickets and diagnose and resolve technical faults.
- Install and configure hardware and software for Windows and Apple devices.
- Support printers, phones, network‑enabled devices and audio‑visual equipment for assemblies, events and visiting speakers.
- Assist with upgrades, maintenance and equipment repairs.
- Maintain secure, reliable and well‑documented ICT services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering customer‑focused ICT support, using a service desk or ticketing system.
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows, Apple, printers, networking and AV equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and close attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and work logically and independently.
- Calm and solutions‑focused when dealing with complex problems, recognising when escalation is required.
