Role

Head of Marketing and Communications – Responsible for shaping the school’s reputation, driving engagement and supporting pupil recruitment and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and promote Croydon High School’s image across digital, social media, PR, advertising, publications and events.
  • Develop and execute an insight-driven marketing strategy, using data and market intelligence to identify new opportunities.
  • Oversee the school’s brand, website, SEO and GEO activity, and create compelling campaigns and content.
  • Work closely with Admissions and senior leaders to deliver an exceptional journey for prospective families, from enquiry through to enrolment.
  • Lead marketing of Open Days, Taster Events and feeder‑school initiatives, building relationships across the school, GDST and the wider community.
  • Manage the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, external partners and the marketing budget.
  • Ensure every marketing project is engaging, effective and delivered to a high standard.

Qualifications

  • Proven marketing experience with strong writing and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and sound judgement.
  • Good understanding of digital marketing, SEO, GEO, social media and customer journeys.
  • Creativity, energy and confidence to manage competing priorities in a busy, service‑focused environment.
