Wimbledon High School is seeking an innovative and forward‑thinking teacher to take on the role of Digital Literacy Lead. This unique cross‑phase position combines teaching, curriculum design, staff development and academic leadership across both the Junior and Senior Schools. The successful candidate will shape and deliver a coherent vision for digital literacy and emerging technologies, ensuring that students develop technical skills, digital fluency, critical awareness, creativity and judgement necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
Working across the school, the Digital Literacy Lead will oversee the development of a progressive digital literacy curriculum, teach Computing in the Upper Junior and Senior Schools, and contribute to the school’s innovative Playful Scholarship Portfolio. From artificial intelligence and robotics to online culture, digital citizenship and media literacy, the candidate will help students engage thoughtfully and critically with modern technology. The role also involves supporting colleagues in effectively using technology to enhance teaching and learning, building confidence and expertise across the school community.

About You

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching, experience in curriculum development, educational technology or academic leadership, and a commitment to helping young people become confident, thoughtful and responsible digital participants. Experience leading or contributing to enrichment opportunities such as coding clubs, robotics programmes, digital leadership initiatives or technology‑focused projects would be advantageous.
