Role Overview
The GDST Council is seeking an inspirational leader to build on this strong foundation and fully realise the benefits of GDST membership for pupils and staff. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape a compelling vision for the future that secures Redmaids’ High’s position as a leading school in the South‑West and as a nationally recognised centre of excellence in the education of girls and young women. The successful candidate will be a confident and strategic leader, with demonstrable experience in driving positive change, inspiring others, and embodying the GDST’s values. Combining respect for the School’s heritage with new ideas and a strong appetite for innovation, the next Head of Redmaids’ High School will be visible and decisive, with the strength of intellect, warmth and gravitas to work well with all members of our community. A passionate advocate for girls’ education, the ideal candidate will be a first‑class ambassador for Redmaids’ High School and the GDST.
