Sydenham & Dulwich Girls School (Sydenham, Greater London) invites a Head of Academic PE and Teacher of PE to join our sports department for a fixed‑term maternity cover. The role is a 4‑ or 5‑day position, starting 1 September 2026, with a full‑time or part‑time option.
Responsibilities
- Teach sports across Junior and Senior schools, covering athletics, dance, fitness, gymnastics and games‑based activities.
- Use the senior school sports hall, astroturf pitch and eight‑acre sports ground in Beckenham; support the planned opening of an ergo room, gym and dance studio in summer 2026.
- Deliver GCSE and A‑Level PE lessons and contribute to the high‑performance programme and sports scholarships.
- Commit to developing talented athletes and supporting their progression.
- Maintain organisation and enthusiasm to advance the school’s sports provision.
Qualifications
- Well‑qualified Head of Academic PE and Teacher of PE with up‑to‑date teaching qualifications, experience in delivering school sport, and a record of supporting high‑performance athletes.
