Role
The GDST is looking for a qualified Psychology Teacher (part time) to join the department from September 2026. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate high standards of preparation, organisation and grading while engaging curious, well‑motivated students at A Level. Teaching commitment is 0.25 full‑time equivalent. Applicants are required to support educational visits, including international and residential, and assist with support sessions and clubs. Enthusiasm and competence should be evidenced by a lively and engaging teaching style and active participation in departmental extra‑curricular activities.

About the Department
The Psychology Department is part of the school community, following the WJEC examination board at A‑level. Classes comprise curious, articulate and enthusiastic students. With 13 A‑Level Psychology students currently, the cohort is expected to grow to around 24 in September. The department encourages deep understanding of the human mind and enriches learning through local and national competitions and other extracurricular activities.

Howell’s School, Llandaff, is one of the oldest girls’ schools in Wales, having opened in August 1860. The school caters for girls from age 3 to 16 and for girls and boys 16‑18.
