GDS Partners are recruiting an EHS Advisor on behalf of an established M&E Contractor delivering a major construction project in Mons, Belgium. This is an excellent permanent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional looking to work on a large-scale European project, with a strong salary and comprehensive living abroad package.

The Role: The EHS Advisor will work closely with the project and site teams to maintain high standards of Environmental, Health & Safety throughout the delivery of the project. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety walks
  • Review RAMS and other project-specific EHS documentation
  • Monitor M&E installation activities and ensure safe systems of work are followed
  • Support the implementation of project EHS policies and procedures
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
  • Assist with incident and near-miss investigations
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance and address unsafe practices
  • Maintain EHS records, reports and project documentation
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors to promote a positive safety culture

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification
  • Previous experience within construction
  • M&E, Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial or other large-scale project experience would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of site-based Health & Safety procedures
  • Confident working with project teams and subcontractors
  • Willingness to be based in Mons, Belgium
