GDS Partners are recruiting an EHS Manager on behalf of a well-established M&E Contractor for a permanent position in South London.
About the client: Our client is a well-established mechanical and electrical contractor delivering high-profile Data Centre, Commercial, and Residential projects across Greater London and Nationwide. They have built an excellent reputation for quality, innovation, and safety, and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality performance across all projects.
About the role:
- South London-based role.
- Join a growing and well-respected M&E contractor.
- Salary of £85,000 - £90,000 + package.

Main duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Review and monitor RAMS, permits to work, and other EHS documentation.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Provide practical Health & Safety advice and support to site management and project teams.
- Monitor EHS performance and prepare reports where required.
- Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across all projects.
To be successful in your application, you will possess the following:
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification, e.g., NEBOSH.
- 3+ years of experience within Health and Safety in Construction.
- Previous experience within M&E Construction within Data Centres is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to build strong working relationships across site teams.
