We are now recruiting for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (or nearly chartered) to be based in either (or both) of our offices. Our work is mainly concentrated across Kent, Sussex, London and the Home Counties so travel across these areas will be required.
Within a team environment you will be working on a broad range of project and professional work, across a number of industry sectors, including Education, Insurance Reinstatement, Charity, Social Housing and Commercial. The role will include:
- Responsibility for your own jobs;
- Developing and growing your own client relationships;
- Developing your own team;
- Undertaking a range of professional and project work including design and Contract Administration;
- Guiding and assisting junior staff;
- Seeking opportunities for additional instructions.
Person Specification:
- Genuinely interested and keen to progress;
- Qualified MRICS (or nearly chartered);
- Sound understanding of JCT contracts;
- Sound knowledge of construction technology;
- Experience of specification writing & contract administration is essential;
- Retrofit experience could be an advantage, but not essential;
- Experience of a range of core professional duties is required;
- Experience in the social housing sector would be desirable;
- Highly organised and personable;
- Ability to work in a team, a good team player is essential;
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously to tight deadlines;
- Client facing skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential;
- Proficiency with all MS software is essential;
- Generation of new business & clients is always seen as an advantage, but not essential.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Alongside a great salary, we offer:
