GDi are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Surveyor to join our team, based in our offices in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Survey Manager, this position is responsible for carrying out surveying for Global Design Innovation Ltd, and any other company as may be added to GDi’s portfolio.

  • Carry out a wide range of surveys in line with relevant procedures.
  • Be aware/develop approaches, undertake RAMS and compile/review survey methodologies.
  • Conduct pre-mobilisation checks on survey and scanning equipment when required.
  • Resolve survey queries.
  • Process all captured data and prepare final deliverables.
  • Display awareness/develop knowledge in preparation of survey scopes, including where applicable man-hours and equipment estimates.
  • Carry out laser scanning/dimensional control surveys on clients' onshore/offshore assets as per GDi procedures.
  • Perform QA/QC analysis.
  • Model 3D data into 2D and 3D CAD drawings and reports as required.
  • Prepare & check drawings and 3D models.
  • Operate survey software and monitor the data quality to ensure the survey specification is achieved.
  • Ensure that all survey work is carried out in accordance with priorities and schedules.
  • Understand client requirements and scopes of work and ensure that the scope of work and contract deliverables are fully understood.
  • Foster positive and effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Able to travel in the UK and abroad, as well as offshore.
  • Role will involve working away from home for periods of time, predominantly in the North Sea with opportunities to work onshore/offshore internationally.

Work experience: National 5 or equivalent in English and maths preferred. BSc in Surveying or other relevant qualification. BOSIET, MIST and offshore medical certification. Full driving license.
