We are an Aberdeen-based, leading provider of engineering and digital asset management solutions. By delivering ultra-efficient technology and safety-driven solutions, GDi helps our clients safely and efficiently manage their assets.

GDi are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Construction Project Engineer to lead the planning and delivery of construction work packs and contribute expert input across all project phases. This role ensures quality, efficiency, and safety by applying technical knowledge and supporting continuous improvement in execution strategies.

Key Activities and Accountabilities:

  • Lead development of detailed construction work packs with clear activity breakdowns.
  • Apply technical specifications and construction engineering expertise to maintain high standards.
  • Contribute to project scope planning, constructability reviews, and methodology improvements.
  • Verify that installation quality and subsequent verification are completed in accordance with requirements.
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of project scopes and manage changes effectively.
  • Support quality assurance, documentation, and compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction within the relevant sector.
  • Qualified to at least Level 5 (HNC/HND/apprenticeship) or equivalent.
  • Strong technical background and proven leadership in complex project environments.
  • Broad and in-depth technical knowledge of construction disciplines, methods, and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of technical documentation, construction risk assessments, Hazard and Operability reviews and safety protocols.
  • In-depth understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to construction and safety.
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate construction risks.
  • Proven ability to identify risks to construction delivery and implement effective mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Skilled in planning, coordinating, and executing construction activities.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and offshore as required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team guidance capabilities.
