We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Conveyancer Team Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate oversees a team of Conveyancers handling property transactions. This role combines legal expertise, leadership, and operational management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of conveyancers to achieve individual and departmental targets.
  • Allocate workloads effectively, ensuring even distribution and timely completion of all cases.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing, and client-focused team culture.
  • Oversee daily operations of the conveyancing team to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
  • Monitor caseload volumes, progress, and quality of work to maintain high service standards.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to increase productivity and reduce risk.
Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Residential Law and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload from instruction to post-completion, including freehold, leasehold, new-build, and shared ownership matters.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, including SRA, CLC, AML, and GDPR requirements.
  • Ability to review, draft, and approve complex legal documentation with high attention to detail.
  • Competence in risk management and identifying potential legal or operational issues early.
  • Proficiency in case management systems (e.g., LEAP, Proclaim, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a conveyancing team.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others to deliver high levels of service and meet targets.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, coaching, and handling escalations constructively.
