We are passionate about compliance, safety, and operational efficiency, and we are looking for an experienced Mechanic / Fitter to join our team in Beauly to oversee the maintenance and repair of our vehicle fleet and plant equipment.
What We Expect of You:
- Your key duties will include conducting mechanical assessments on GCU vehicles and plant to determine repair needs, damages, and required parts.
- You will perform repairs and servicing on GCU-owned vehicles and plant, completing garage repair, service sheets, and defect rectifications.
- You'll also carry out function tests on plant equipment before issuing it to teams and manage the GCU Workshop Tagging System for proper storage and quarantine.
- Ensuring the safe use of workshop tools and chemicals, as well as maintaining workshop security and tools at the end of each shift, will also be essential responsibilities.
- Previous experience in a relevant fitter or technician role.
- You must be proficient in workshop health and safety practices and able to work independently, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is proficiency in using computer systems for accurate record-keeping.
