As a Traffic Management Operative (TMO) with us, you will play a crucial role in keeping our roads safe and traffic flowing smoothly. From installing and maintaining temporary traffic management equipment to responding to incidents and escorting abnormal loads, you will be at the heart of it all. The location of the role is across Scotland including the Central Belt and the Highlands & Islands. It may involve staying away from home for up to two weeks at a time.

What We Expect Of You

As a Traffic Management Operative (TMO) with us, you will be instrumental in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our roads. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering and setting up traffic management equipment accurately.
  • Meticulously inspecting returned equipment and completing necessary documentation.
  • Ensuring our equipment remains in top condition through regular maintenance and repairs.
  • Promptly handling and reporting incidents.
  • Assisting with recovery operations as required.
  • Safely escorting abnormal loads.

What You Will Bring

A flexible and adaptable approach to handling a wide range of tasks, along with a strong team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate patience and calmness, even under pressure, and hold a valid UK Driving Licence. Your qualifications will include Lantra Approved 12D M1 & M2, and you will have exceptional communication and customer service skills.
