This is a key leadership role that will influence operational performance across the business. You will work closely with management teams, drivers, workshop personnel and external suppliers to deliver a transport operation that supports our customers and projects while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and service delivery. We are currently moving from our depot in Duke Street to our new facility in Mossend. There will be an expectation to work between both depots until the move is complete.
What We Expect of You: We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way and who demonstrates a genuine commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence. You will be expected to provide strong leadership, set clear standards and create a positive working environment where people are engaged, accountable and supported to perform at their best. You will be someone who can confidently balance the demands of a busy operation while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring regulatory requirements are consistently met. We expect you to take ownership of challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and work collaboratively across the business to deliver practical solutions. As a leader within the organisation, you will act with professionalism, integrity and fairness, building strong relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies. Your ability to communicate effectively and influence others will be essential in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
What You Will Bring: You will bring proven experience within a transport management role, supported by a Transport Manager CPC qualification and a strong understanding of Operator Licence requirements, drivers' hours legislation and fleet compliance obligations. You will have a track record of successfully managing drivers, vehicles and transport resources within a regulated environment. We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and planning skills, who can analyse information, make informed decisions and manage competing priorities effectively. You will be comfortable using technology and management information to monitor performance, identify trends and support business improvement initiatives. In addition to your technical knowledge, you will bring strong leadership capabilities, the confidence to challenge where necessary and the ability to motivate and develop others.
