We are looking for an experienced OT Cybersecurity Lead to drive critical initiatives within a dynamic Operational Technology environment. This hands-on leadership role will ensure the protection of critical infrastructure systems such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and other industrial automation & control systems (IACS), while embedding compliance and governance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and upkeep of the OT Cybersecurity Management System in line with OG86 and IEC 62443 standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and threat modelling for OT environments.
- Manage NIS compliance and produce annual reports for OT networks.
- Collaborate with OT engineers, IT, and safety teams to ensure secure integration of OT systems.
- Oversee incident response and recovery procedures for OT cyber events reported by a 24/7 OT SOC.
- Develop and deliver OT cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
- Manage third-party cybersecurity providers delivering proactive monitoring, detection, and response.
- Monitor and report on OT cybersecurity posture and KPIs to senior leadership.
Experience
- Significant experience in OT cybersecurity within critical national infrastructure (oil & gas, energy, utilities, or similar).
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems (ICS) and communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and DNP3.
- Proven experience with OT network architecture, including network segmentation, firewalls, and secure remote access.
- Strong knowledge of OG86 and IEC 62443 frameworks.
- Experience with compliance frameworks including COMAH, NIS, and ISO/IEC 62443.
- Strategic thinking, leadership skills, and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
