About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

IT Business Partner to act as the strategic link between IT, business stakeholders, and operational teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated professional with strong business analysis, project delivery, and stakeholder management experience to help drive technology-enabled business transformation.

The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders to understand strategic objectives, identify opportunities for process improvement, and ensure technology solutions are aligned with operational and business goals.

You will act as a trusted advisor, helping shape system enhancements, drive innovation, and deliver successful IT projects from inception through to business-as-usual support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder discussions to gather and define business requirements.
  • Apply business analysis techniques to produce clear business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and user stories.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation, service improvement, and technology innovation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business contacts and operational teams.
  • Provide expert guidance on business systems capabilities, enhancements, and configuration options.
  • Manage IT and business change projects through the full project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, and third parties to deliver technology solutions successfully.
  • Support system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation activities.
  • Produce high-quality project documentation, status reports, test plans, user guides, and operational procedures.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Support transition activities to ensure successful handover into operational support teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of IT processes, tools, standards, and governance practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, IT Business Partner, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering IT projects and working across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business process analysis and process improvement experience.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into language suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience producing process maps, specifications, requirements documentation, and test materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within housing, property services, repairs and maintenance, or social housing environments.
  • Exposure to ITIL, Agile, PRINCE2, or other project delivery frameworks.
  • Knowledge of change management, release management, risk management, and issue management processes.
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL/T-SQL.
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as Microsoft Dynamics, Service Now, Salesforce, ERP, CRM, or similar business platforms.
