Overview

We're recruiting for an experienced DevOps Engineer (.NET) to join the Identity & Access Management team of a leading global financial services organisation. This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-scale IAM platforms, driving automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and secure deployment practices across cloud and on-premise environments. You'll work closely with engineering, security and operations teams to improve the reliability, scalability and security of critical identity services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications and IAM platform components.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Develop PowerShell automation for deployments, operational tasks and identity lifecycle processes.
  • Support deployment of Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) components, scheduled jobs and supporting services.
  • Automate SQL Server database deployments using version-controlled scripts and DACPAC where appropriate.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices including vulnerability scanning, secrets management and secure release processes.
  • Build repeatable deployment pipelines across Development, Test and Production environments.
  • Monitor platform performance and implement alerting and operational runbooks.
  • Collaborate with IAM architects, security teams and application owners to deliver secure platform enhancements.
  • Investigate production issues and automate recurring operational tasks.
  • Produce technical documentation, deployment guides and operational procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering role.
  • Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Strong Terraform experience with Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with Ansible and configuration management.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills (Python desirable).
  • Experience deploying and supporting .NET applications.
  • Microsoft SQL Server deployment automation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Git source control and release management.
  • Exposure to Azure, AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps, security scanning and secrets management.
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging and operational automation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM).
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM) or Privileged Access Management (PAM).
  • ARM/Bicep or PowerShell DSC.
  • Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Nexus Repository Manager.
  • Agile delivery using Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles and identity governance.
