We're looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a small, collaborative technology team supporting a hybrid infrastructure environment across Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
This is a hands‑on role covering Azure, Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, networking, identity, automation and security.
You'll play a key role in the organisation's cloud transformation, including the migration of on-premises VMware workloads to Azure and Hyper‑V, while continuing to support and develop the existing on-premises estate.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Design, deploy and maintain Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
- Support the migration of VMware workloads into Azure Iaa S and Hyper‑V.
- Manage on-premises Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
- Manage Azure networking including VNets, subnets, NSGs, firewalls and hybrid connectivity.
- Support Cisco networking, including switching, routing, VLANs and wireless.
- Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure‑as‑code and Git Hub Actions pipelines.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Share Point, Entra ID and Intune.
- Support security and governance technologies including Microsoft Purview, Varonis and Ave Point.
- Maintain infrastructure security standards aligned with CIS, NIST, Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.
- Produce technical documentation and take ownership of infrastructure projects and workstreams.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering.
- Strong experience across Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
- Strong Windows Server and Active Directory knowledge.
- Experience with VMware and Hyper‑V.
- Good understanding of Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Experience with Cisco networking.
- Strong Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Share Point experience.
- Hands‑on Terraform experience.
- Experience with Git Hub and CI/CD, ideally Git Hub Actions.
- Experience working in a security‑conscious or regulated environment.
Desirable
- Azure Landing Zone and Azure Migrate experience.
- Varonis, Ave Point or Microsoft Purview.
- Power Shell and Azure CLI.
- Microsoft or Cisco certifications such as AZ-305, MS-102, SC-400, CCNA or CCNP.
