Yard Supervisor

Role: Yard Supervisor Sector: Building Supplies – Builders Merchants – Construction Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 DOE Our business is currently recruiting for a Yard Supervisor to lead and manage a team of Yard Operatives. As a Yard Supervisor you will be responsible for, motivate and develop colleagues to achieve a high standard of work. Supervisory or managerial experience is preferred, but non-essential as full training on the specifics as a Yard Supervisor will be given. Previous experience of working in a busy yard is essential, although not necessarily at managerial level, as it is pivotal to the smooth running of the business as a whole. To be successful as a Yard Supervisor you will need to be pro-active and willing to develop as the activities are wide and varying. Previous experience within a Builders Merchant environment would be advantageous but by no means essential. Role Review stock and par levels of the facility and report accordingly Monitor loading and stacking ensuring accuracy of delivery Be aware of and ensure all health and safety compliance is paramount Drive and develop a customer service culture with effective communication Skills and Experience FLT Licence Previous Yard experience Knowledge of the Builders Merchant / Construction sectors Experience of loading and unloading HGV vehicles Experience of maintaining high levels organisation of productsIf you feel you have the relevant experience and skill-set please apply to this job advert directly, or, alternatively call Liam on (phone number removed) for any further information
