We are seeking a dedicated Food Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient production of food products in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the food industry, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining high-quality output.

The Role

  • Ensure all procedures for quality, hygiene, housekeeping etc are strictly followed and issues reported.
  • Ensure all quality and safety regimes are adhered to including testing, cleaning, pre-start checks etc and to ensure all documentation is completed accordingly to agreed standards.
  • Carry out production in an efficient manner according to the agreed schedules.
  • Work within a small team, working alongside the supervisor to produce high quality products.
  • Operate and clean down machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
  • Walk, bend and stand for the duration of the shift. Some heavy lifting may be involved.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a food factory environment is essential.
  • Quality conscious with an awareness of Health & Safety.
  • Willingness to undertake further relevant training.
  • Ability to adapt to ongoing changes in the working environment.
  • High levels of motivation, drive and commitment.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Be available to work from Monday – Friday. Occasional Saturday if requested and desired.
  • Applicants must be enthusiastic, flexible and hard working to work effectively alongside our friendly team.
  • Have a positive 'Can Do' attitude to everyday operations and continual improvement initiatives.
