We are seeking a dedicated Food Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient production of food products in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the food industry, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining high-quality output.
The Role
- Ensure all procedures for quality, hygiene, housekeeping etc are strictly followed and issues reported.
- Ensure all quality and safety regimes are adhered to including testing, cleaning, pre-start checks etc and to ensure all documentation is completed accordingly to agreed standards.
- Carry out production in an efficient manner according to the agreed schedules.
- Work within a small team, working alongside the supervisor to produce high quality products.
- Operate and clean down machinery and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
- Walk, bend and stand for the duration of the shift. Some heavy lifting may be involved.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a food factory environment is essential.
- Quality conscious with an awareness of Health & Safety.
- Willingness to undertake further relevant training.
- Ability to adapt to ongoing changes in the working environment.
- High levels of motivation, drive and commitment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be available to work from Monday – Friday. Occasional Saturday if requested and desired.
- Applicants must be enthusiastic, flexible and hard working to work effectively alongside our friendly team.
- Have a positive 'Can Do' attitude to everyday operations and continual improvement initiatives.
