Personal Care Assistant Evan is a bright, active 11-year-old who loves spending time outdoors and exploring new activities. He enjoys trips to the park, trampolining, swimming, clubs, holidays, and even simple pleasures like playing in the garden or going out for lunch. Evan is looking for a compassionate, patient, and reliable Personal Care Assistant to provide one-to-one support both at home and out in the community.
In this role, you’ll help Evan with personal care, including supervising toilet visits and washing hands. You may occasionally assist with administering medication and help prepare meals or snacks. Your support will also involve accompanying him on his favourite activities, keeping him safe at all times, and helping him engage in social experiences that suit his interests and abilities.
Driving is essential, as you’ll need to use your own vehicle, with mileage allowance provided. This role is ideal for someone with experience in childcare, ASN, care home, or nursing settings, or anyone who has worked with children and understands the need for patience, calmness, and sensitivity, especially during challenging moments or meltdowns. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a warm nature, and a proactive approach to care are essential.
Key Details- Hours: Casual contract – typically alternate Saturdays, 12:00pm–5:00pm
- Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour
- Location: Carluke
