Could You Be the Right Match for Rosie? Support Worker / Personal Assistant – Blantyre

Part-time | £14.45 per hour | Permanent | Flexible hours

Rosie is a warm, sociable woman living in the Blantyre area. She enjoys swimming, going for walks, visiting the cinema, and spending time with others. Rosie has a learning disability and epilepsy and is looking for someone kind, supportive, and reliable to help her maintain her independence and enjoy life to the fullest.

We’re currently recruiting a Male or Female Support Worker to work with Rosie on a one-to-one basis, both in her home and out in the community. This is a permanent role, with between 4 and 6 hours of work per week, and flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle. You don’t need to have years of experience — if you have the right attitude, patience, and a caring nature, we’d love to hear from you.

What the role involves:

  • Supporting with medication
  • Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks
  • Assisting Rosie during walks, swimming sessions, and other physical activities
  • Going to the shops, collecting prescriptions, and helping with everyday errands
  • Helping with any other tasks that allow Rosie to feel independent and confident
  • Being a friendly face and someone Rosie can trust

Rosie also shares her home with a friendly dog, so you’ll need to be comfortable with pets.

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone with a genuine interest in supporting others
  • A good communicator who is calm, respectful, and patient
  • A driver with a full licence (you’ll be driving a mobility vehicle)
  • Someone proactive and positive, who will encourage Rosie to try new things and enjoy her favourite activities
