About Maria
Maria is a quality and respectful very private person. She is a kind and loving Mum, has great patience and understanding, with a beautiful nature and great personality. Maria enjoys sewing, being creative and achieving things. She used to be able to do many things like gardening, but is now unable due to her mobility and dementia. However, if she can sit and do things, it makes her happy accomplishing something that can be of use.
You’ll support Maria with:
- washing and dressing, including preparing breakfast
- assisting to the toilet
- overseeing in case she should fall or require assistance with tasks
- giving Maria her medication
- keeping her company and stimulating her to keep her mind busy
- pushing wheelchair and/or overseeing her walk with frame from A to B
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience with dementia is helpful
- Experience with moving and handling
- Respectful, trustworthy, patient, soft & gentle nature
- Comfortable working in a rural location outside Larkhall with no public transport
- Comfortable with a dog living in the home
Working Hours
This role involves 14 hours per week, with flexibility of more depending on Maria’s needs. Days and times are very flexible and can be discussed at interview.

Employment Details
If you are successfully hired, you will be employed directly by a Private Employer on a PAYE basis and will be entitled to all statutory rights as set out by Employment Law, such as paid holidays and statutory sick pay (where eligible).
